1946 Deed from J. Paul Hill and wife Doris Smith Hill to Homer H. Hill 

STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA, LENOIR COUNTY 
THIS DEED, Made this the 11th day of February A.D. 1946, by J. Paul Hill and 
wife Doris Smith Hill of Lenoir County, State of North Carolina of the first 
part, to Homer H. Hill, of Lenoir County and State of North Carolina of the 
second part: 
WITNESSETH, That said J. Paul Hill and wife Doris Smith Hill in consideration 
of one Hundred and other considerations dollars to be paid by Homer Hill, the 
receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, has bargained and sold, and by these 
presents do grant, bargain, sell and convey to said Homer H. Hill, his heirs 
and assigns a certain tract or parcel of land in Lenoir County, State of N.C., 
adjoining the lands of Homer Hill Clifton Rice and others, and bounded as 
follows, viz: 
Being lots numbers 4 and 5 in Block B of the William C. White Subdivision. For 
a more complete description refer to Book 2, Page 108 which map is of record 
in the Register of Deeds Office of Lenoir County. 
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the aforesaid tract or parcel of land, and all privileges 
and appertanences thereto belonging to the said Homer H. Hill his heirs and 
assigns, to their only use and behoof forever. 
And the said grantors, for theirselves and heirs,- executors and 
administrators, covenants with said grantee his heirs and assigns, that they 
are seized of said premises in fee, and has right to convey in fee simple; 
that the same are free and clear from all encumbrances, and that grantors do 
hereby forever warrant and will forever defend the said title to the same 
against the claims of all persons whomsoever. 
IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, The said J. Paul Hill and wife Doris Smith Hill has 
hereunto set their hands and seals, the day and year first above written.

STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA, LENOIR COUNTY 
I, F. W. Harding, Notary Public, do hereby certify that J. Paul Hill and Doris 
Smith Hill his wife, personally appeared before me this day and acknowledged 
the due execution of the annexed Deed of Conveyance; and the said Doris Smith 
Hill being by me privately examined, separate and apart from her said husband, 
touching her voluntary execution of the same, doth state that she signed the 
same freely and voluntarily, without fear or compulsion of her said husband or 
any other person, and that she doth still voluntarily assent thereto. 
Witness my hand and notorial seal, this 11th day of Feb. A.D., 1946 
My Commission Expires February 22, 1947.

NORTH CAROLINA LENOIR COUNTY 
The foregoing certificate of W. F. Harding a Notary Public of Lenoir County,
