1907 Cemetery Deed  City of Kinston to Lizzie S. Faulkner

NORTH CAROLINA,
    CITY OF KINSTON
 
    This DEED made this 25 day of February 1907 Witnesseth. That the CITY OF 
KINSTON, in the State of North Carolina, in consideration of Twenty Dollars, 
receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, has bargained and sold and by these 
presents does bargain, sell and convey to Mrs. Lizzie S. Faulkner of Lenoir 
County, State of North Carolina, and her heirs, a certain lot or parcel of 
land situate within the corporate limits of said city and described as follows
    The north half of Lot No. 9, Section 1, Division B of Maplewood Cemetery.
    To have and to hold said lot of land to the said Mrs. Lizzie S. Faulkner, 
her heirs and assigns.
    In testimony whereof said CITY OF KINSTON has caused this Deed to be duly 
executed by its Mayor and attested by its Clerk, and the seal of the 
municipality to be hereunto duly affixed the day and year first above written.

NORTH CAROLINA, LENOIR COUNTY
    This 16th day of January 1908 personally came before me L.J. Mewborne who 
being duly sworn, says that he knows the common seal of the CITY OF KINSTON, 
and is acquainted with N.J. Rouse who was on Feb. 25, 1907 the Mayor of said 
City, and that he the said L.J. Mewborne is the Clerk of the said City, and 
saw the said Mayor sign the foregoing instrument and saw the said common seal 
of said City affixed to said instrument by said Mayor, and that he, the said 
L.J. Mewborne signed his name in attestation of the execution of said 
instrument in the presence of said Mayor of said CITYOF KINSTON. Let the said 
deed and this certificate be registered.
