ATTEND BRUMBACK RITES IN NEWTON

Several El Dorado and Butler County residents were in Newton yesterday
afternoon where they attended funeral services for Ernest Brumback, a former
Butler County resident, who died Friday following an illness of three months.
Services were held at the Sprinker Funeral Home there.

Mr. Brumback, who was 65 years old, was born in Milton Township and lived in
Butler County until about twenty years ago when he moved to Newton to engage in
the furniture business. As a young man, he was a salesman in the Schroke
General Merchandise Store, at Brainerd. After his marriage to Miss Anna
Schroke, he was a railway mail clerk for years.

Besides his widow, he is survived by three sons, Arthur Cyrus, Virgil and
Thomas Brumback, all of California; one daughter, mrs. Nina Van De Wall of
Tulsa, Okla.; a brother, A. M. Brumback of Brainerd; a sister Mrs. Grace Haskin
of Cushing, Okla.; and his mother, Mrs. O. P. Brumback of Brainard. Interment
was made in Glenwood Cemetery, at Newton.
