Mrs. C. Otis Boston Dies; Funeral Rites to be Held Friday

Mrs. C. Otis Boston, an El Dorado resident since 1905, died Wednesday night at 
the Presbyterian Manor, a care home at Newton. She was 89 years old.

Mrs. Boston had been in failing health since the death of her husband on May 
26, 1961, and had lived at Presbyterian Manor since January of 1962.

She was born at New Berlin, Ill., on March 3, 1874, and was married at 
Jacksonville, Ill., on July 13, 1898.

Mrs. Boston was a graduate of Illinois College at Jacksonville. She was a 
member of the First United Presbyterian Church in El Dorado and belonged to 
the local chapter of the DAR and the WMB Club.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Barbara Gardner, Wichita; a sister, Mrs. Ruth 
S. Yingling, Wichita; a brother, E. L. Stimpson, Wichita; two grandchildren 
and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at the First Presbyterian Church in El Dorado 
Friday at 4 p.m. with the Rev. James F. Clark officiating. Burial will be in 
the Old Mission cemetery at Wichita. The casket will not be opened at the 
service. The Kirby Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
