Craven County, NC - William Robertson Family Bible

The Bible at this time (1932) in the possession of Mrs. Sunie Bell (Jones) 
Hornady (Mrs. John Hornady) the dau. of Mrs. Mattie Sabiston Jones Gibbs, 
and grand daughter of Mrs. Hannah Murray Sabiston. Mrs. Hornady lives in 
Beaufort)

The following is copied from the blank page at the beginning of the
New Testament:

William Robertson was married to Mary Arthurs at Newbern on the 25th of 
October 1757

Ann Robertson, daughter of the said William and Mary Robertson was born at 
Beaufort in Carteret County on the 26th of June 1759 between the hours of 
nine and ten in the morning

The said William Robertson died on the 6th of January 1774 a quarter after 
4 in the morning

The said Mary Robertson was married to James Parratt the last day of December 
Anno Dom 1774 to whom God grant health and a full fruition of all earthly 
Happiness

The said Ann Robertson was married to Capt. William Gibbons of the Island of 
New Providence the 7th December 1777 to whom Heaven Grant its Blessings

William the son of William and Ann Gibbons was born at Beaufort October 27th 
1778 and died May 28th, 1779

(The following written across this page:)

Mary Parrott the daughter of Richard and Anne Arthurs departed this life
Jan. 11th 1804 aged about 66 years

"Mary Parrott was born in December 1739"

(The following seemingly in hand writing of Elijah Bell:)

"My wife and sons remember the 16 & 17 June. Day long to be remembered   
by you - 1806"

The following from the next page on blank sheet:)

Elijah Bell, son of Joseph Bell and Hannah Bell his wife was born November 
18th in the year of our Lord 1765

Still born child of Elijah Bell and Mary his wife was born April 27, 1802

Hannah Lovit Bell, daughter of Elijah Bell and Mary his wife was born
March 22nd 1803

Still born child of Elijah Bell and Mary his wife was born March 22nd 1806

The following written on blank page after the Book of Haggai:  

Jean the daughter of Richard and Ann Arther was born in the year 1754 and 
married to Robert Walpole and died the 8th of September 1782 leaving a 
daughter named Mary aged 8 years and a son Richard aged 4 years

Mary Warlpool daughter of Jean Warlpool was married on the eighth day of 
August 1792 to Barnabus Chadwick to whom God grant health and happiness

Elijah Bell end Mary his wife, daughter of William Gibbons and Ann his wife 
was married together on the 12th day of December A. D. 1792

Wm. Robertson Bell son of Elijah end Mary his wife was born August 29th at 
10 o'clock in the evening 1794

Elijah Bell son of Elijah end Mary his wife was born Aug. 18, at 9 o'clock 
in the morning 1797

Nancy Bell daughter of Elijah Bell and Mary his wife was born Sept. 26, 
at 2 past 7 P. M. 1799

William Robertson was married to Mary Arthurs at New Bern by Henry Highland, 
Esq., Oct. 5th, 1757

Ann Robertson, daughter of William Robertson and Mary Robertson was born at 
Beaufort, Carteret County, North Carolina, June the 25(?) 1759 between 
nine and ten o'clock in the morning

William Robertson died the 6th day of January 1774 quarter four in the morning

The said Ann Robertson died at South Quay in Virginia January first 1781
