Mary Ellen (maiden name Floyd) Fowler was born 3-1-1909 and died 11-7-1996 (GA
DC# 051697) and is buried at Mt. Zion  Cemetery in Tiggs County. Her husband,
William I. Fowler, is also buried there. Her parents, Matthew J. Floyd and Elvie
Ellen Grimsley Floyd, are both buried at Prospect Methodist Church Cemetery in
Tiggs County.

DANVILLE---Services for Mary Floyd Fowler will be at 11AM Saturday in Prospect
United Methodist Church, Twiggs County, with burial in Mount Zion Baptist Church
Cemetery. Fowler, 87, died Thursday. A lifelong resident of Twiggs County, she
was the daughter of the late Matthew and Elvie Ellen Grimsley Jordan and was the
widow of William I. Fowler. She was a homemaker and a member of Prospect United
Methodist Church.
Survivors include her children, Harold Fowler, William Fowler, and Frank Fowler,
all of Danville; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and 7
great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight in Mathis Funeral Home,
Cochran, and may be contacted at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Fowler,
Route 1, Danville. The body will be placed in the church an hour before services.
