                          John Alfred Fowler
 Funeral services for John Alfred Fowler, 37, of 222 Terrace Drive, who died 
as the result of injuries received in an automobile accident Saturday 
afternoon, will be held at 2:00pm today, Monday, from the Townsend Chapel on 
Gaines Street. The Rev. W. E. Flanders and the Rev. Paul Jones will officiate 
and burial will be in Dublin Memorial Gardens.
 Townsend Brothers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements and pallbearers 
will be Ben Maddox, Jummy Passmore, Paul Meeks, Bobby Payne, Clayton Dean, and 
Wayne Wyatt.
 Born in Twiggs County, Mr. Fowler had lived in Dublin most of his life. His 
father was the late George Fowler of Danville. He was a veteran of the Korean 
Conflict, a member of the East Dublin Baptist Church, and was employed by 
Overnight Trucking Company. Mr. Fowler, a former employee of Laurens Hardware 
Co., was appointed a special deputy with the Laurens County Sheriff's 
Department.
 Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Jeanelle Wyatt Fowler and a daughter, Miss Kathy 
Fowler of Dublin; his mother, Mrs. Gladys Fowler of Danville; four brothers, 
George Fowler of Macon, Earl Fowler, W. H. Fowler, and Jerry Fowler, all of 
Danville; one sister, Mrs. Eugenia F. Thomas of Ft. Walton Beach, Fla.
