Henrietta "Hennie" (maiden name Hasty) Fowler was born 9-19-1869 and died
2-14-1952 (GA DC# 3619) and is buried at Mt. Zion in Twiggs County. Her husband
is also buried there. In this obituary, he is listed as Matthew William (Sam)
Fowler. On his death certificate and in his own obituary, he is listed as
Mathias W. Fowler.

 Mrs. Matthew W. Fowler

DANVILLE, Feb. 15---Funeral services were conducted for Mrs. Matthew William
Fowler, 82, in Mt. Zion Church near Danville Friday afternoon by the Rev. J. E.
Townsend with burial in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Mrs. Fowler had been in failing health for some time, but was taken seriously
ill on Saturday when she was taken to the hospital in Dublin where she died on
Thursday morning.
Mrs. Fowler, the former Miss Henrietta Hasty, was born and reared in Twiggs
County, the daughter of Joel Hasty and Mrs. Mary Chance Hasty.
Mrs. Fowler is survived by her husband, Mathew William (Sam) Fowler; by three
daughters, Miss Lizzie Fowler, Danville, Mrs. Mozelle Rickerson of Danville, and
Mrs. Julia Kitchens of Macon; five sons, Harvey Fowler of Warner Robins, Dennard
Lee Fowler of Macon, Jule Fowler of Danville, Tom Fowler of Danville, and
Marshall Fowler of Danville; by nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren;
and by one sister, Miss Sadie Hasty of Danville.
