Lawrence Newby Faulk was born 1-9-1931 and died 1-22-2007 and is buried in Lee
Cemetery in Twiggs County.

 Lawrence Newby Faulk 

-JEFFERSONVILLE - Lawrence Newby Faulk, 76, died Monday, January 22, 2007 in
Macon. -Services will be held at 3P.M. Friday, January 26, 2007 in the Chapel of
Reece Funeral Home in Jeffersonville. Burial will be in The Newby Faulk Family
Cemetery. -Mr. Faulk was born January 2, 1931 to the late Charles Reynolds Faulk
and Marguerite N. Faulk. He was a 1951 graduate from the University of Georgia
School of Agriculture with a B.A. in Agronomy. He served his country in the Navy
during the Korean War aboard the USS Dixie for 1951-1955. Mr. Faulk was retired
from the U.S. Department of Agriculture where he served as a county office
Director for 31 years. After retirement, Mr. Faulk pursued full-time, his
lifelong love of Farming in Twiggs County. He also enjoyed his experiences as a
member of the Birmingham based Carpenters for Christ. He participated in
building multiple churches across the United States. Mr. Faulk was a member of
New Richland Baptist Church. -Survivors include his wife, Sarah K. Faulk; two
sons, Lawrence R. Faulk of Jeffersonville, and William Sidney (Cassie) Faulk of
Eastman; two daughters, Cheryl (Al) Barrett of Macon and Nancy (James) McIntyre
of Lumberton, NC; eleven grandsons and six granddaughters; three sisters, Sarah
Miley of Auburn, AL, Rose Denny of Newnan, and Carolyn Schwartz of Macon;
several nieces and nephews. -The Family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00
P.M. Thursday in the funeral home and can be contacted at 2489 Hamlin-Floyd
Road, Jeffersonville. -Reece Funeral Home in Jeffersonville has charge of arrang
