                    W. H. Davis Dies At Hawkinsville
 Funeral services for William Henry Davis, 77, of Route 3 Cochran, who died 
Monday night June 8 in Hawkinsville, were held Wednesday June 10 at 3 o'clock 
in Cool Springs Primitive Baptist Church in Twiggs County.
 Burial was in the church cemetery, Elder Robert Sanders and Elder E. J. 
Bryant of Danville officiated.
 Mrs. Davis is survived by his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Fleta Jones , Route 3 
Cochran and Mrs. Grace Buckrom (Butler) of Macon; six sons, W. L., Frank, and 
Herman, all of Cochran, W. H. of Cordele, Andrew, Warner Robins, and Johnnie 
of Macon; one brother, Ira Davis of Dudley; one sister, Mrs. Mary Davis of 
Dublin; and sixteen grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Fisher Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

NOTE--His death certificate shows the place of death as Taylor Memorial 
Hospital in Hawkinsville, Ga.; however, the obituary in The Macon Telegraph 
shows that he died at his home near Cochran in Bleckley County and was DOA at 
the hospital in Hawkinsville.

Additional Comments:
Henry was born abt 1876 to Henry C. Davis and Elizabeth "Betty" Chance Davis.
