                      Mrs. Nomie Johnson Davis
 Funeral services for Mrs. Nomie Johnson Davis, age 66 of Oak Hickory, Tenn., 
who died Monday, February 6, 1984 in West Germany, were held Monday, February 
13, at two o'clock in the chapel of Mathis Funeral Home with Rev. Auburn C. 
Davis and Elder Franklin Bryant officiating. Burial was in the Cool Springs 
Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
 Mrs. Davis was a native of and had lived in Bleckley County most of her life. 
She was the widow of the late Herman W. Davis and was a homemaker.
 Survivors are one son, Buddy Davis of Hawkinsville; four daughters, Mrs. 
Margaret Knight of Ft. Benning, Mrs. Ruth Sasser of Nashville, Tenn., Mrs. 
Mary Parks of St. Augustine, Fla., and Mrs. Catherine Caudill of Bonaire; 
three brothers, James O. Johnson of Cochran, Albert Johnson of Chester, and 
Denson Johnson of Winter Haven Fla.; nine grandchildren; and four great-
grandchildren.
 Pallbearers were Leroy Russell, Robert Johnson, Larry Johnson, Raymond 
Johnson, Johnny Peacock, and Ronnie Johnson.
 Mathis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Nomie was born 6 Nov 1917 to Bertman "Bert" Johnson and Mattie Bell Johnson.
