                           Herman Wilson Davis
 Funeral services for Herman Wilson Davis, age 65, of 110 Peach Street, who 
died early Friday morning in the Medical Center of Central Georgia, were held 
Saturday at 2 o'clock in the Chapel of Mathis Funeral Home with Elder Franklin 
Bryant and Rev. Pete Davis officiating. Burial was in the Cool Springs 
Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Twiggs County.
 Mr. Davis, the son of William Henry Davis and Mary Ann Scarborough Davis, was 
a life-long resident of Bleckley County and was a retired farmer.
 Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Nomie Johnson Davis of Cochran; one son, 
Herman "Buddy" Davis of Cochran; four daughters, Mrs. Catherine Bryant and 
Mrs. Margaret Knight, both of Warner Robins, Mrs. Mary Parks of St. Augustine, 
Fla., and Mrs. Ruth Sasser of Nashville, Tennessee; one brother, Johnny Davis 
of Macon; two sisters, Mrs. Fleta Jones of Cochran and Mrs. Grace Blanton of 
Charlotte, NC; and seven grandchildren.
 Pallbearers were J. R. Bryant, Ralph Bryant, Bobby Johnson, Robert Johnson, 
Larry Johnson, and Raymond Johnson.
 Mathis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
