Rachel S. Chance was born 6-12-1923 and died 12-4-2000 and is buried at salem
Baptist Church Cemetery. His parents, Elder Joshua H. Chance and Amanda Howell
Chance are both buried at Cool Springs Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in
Twiggs County

Rachel S. Chance

COCHRAN --- Services for Rachel S. Chance will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Salem
Baptist Church, Bleckley County, with burial in the church cemetery. Chance, 86,
died Monday, Dec. 4, 2000, at White Oaks Personal Care Home. The son of the late
Joshua and Amanda Howell Chance, he had lived in Bleckley County most of his
life. He was retired from Beckum Construction Co. and was a self-employed truck
driver. Chance was a member of Salem Baptist Church. 
Survivors include his wife, Sudie Ray Chance of Cochran; daughters Freddy
Nichols of Warner Robins and Peggy Dillard of Cochran; son Glen Chance of
Cochran; sisters Elizabeth Nabers and Myrtice Raffield, both of Macon; eight
grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. 
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Fisher Funeral Home. The
family may be contacted at the residence on Montrose Road.
