The Cochran Journal - August 10, 1933
Mrs. Will Chance Is Laid To Rest At Mt. Zion

Mrs. Will Chance, age 78 years (should be 46 years) died last Friday. Her
health was impaired , though she endured and fought a good fight to the
end. It was always her delight to render a neighborly deed, or be of some
assistance to those about her. Her kind heartedness was her most loveable
trait.
The funeral was held Saturday afternoon at Mr. Zion church with Bro. K. S.
Purser in charge of services. The house was filled with friends and loved
ones who gathered around the casket to pay their last respects to one who
had gone on to her reward.
Surviving are her husband and three daughters and four brothers. The death
of this good woman is mourned as an incurable grief by those who knew her
Christian life.
