Communication

Died on the 19th inst. at his residence in Edgecombe County, after four days 
illness, Mr. Demsey Battle, in the 55th year of his age, lamented by an 
extensive circle of friends and acquaintances. He had been a member of the 
Baptist Society about 40 years in good standing and at the approach of his 
dissolution, which was to bring about another state of existence, he professed 
to have a comfortable hope of future happiness.
