  Mazella Bennett, 88, of Nashville, died January 20, 2015, at Crestwood Nursing 
Center.
 She was born November 13, 1926, in Berrien County to the late Arthur and Lillie 
Mae Jones James. She was a homemaker and retired agent with Bennett Insurance 
Agency. She was also associated with Bennett-Taylor Drugs and Mazie's Jewelers. 
She was a member of Nashville First United Methodist Church. She was the widow 
of Dr. Buoie Bennett and was also preceded in death by two brothers, Everett 
James and Roy James.
 She is survived by her daughter, Shirley (Jim) Hodges of Valdosta; son, Rondal 
(Carol) Tomberlin  of Nashville; step-daughter, Zona Bennett McGuirt of 
Greenville, SC; sister, Mary Ruth Medley of Nashville; four grandchildren, Jil 
(Brad) Trower, Joel (Beth) Hodges, Amanda (Frank) Barnett, and Ryan (Mandy) 
Tomberlin; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter.
 Funeral services were held January 23 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Lovein 
Funeral Home with the Rev. Gary James officiating.
 Interment was in Westview Cemetery.
 Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
