 Aline B. Southerland, 82, of Sparks died September 6, 2004 at South Georgia 
Medical Center in Valdosta.

 Born Nov. 28, 1921 in Ray City to the late Lillian Ray and Charlie Blanton, 
Sr., she was a homemaker and member of Sparks United Methodist Church. She was 
married to the late William M. "W.M." Southerland, Jr.

 Survivors include one son, Bobby Nolan of Tifton; three daughters, Marilyn 
Davis and Janie Patterson, both of Adel, Linda Nolan of Valdosta; one sister, 
Mamie Carter of Ray City; 14 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren.

 Funeral services were held Sept. 7 at 11 a.m. at Sparks United Methodist 
Church with Rev. Al Lewis officiating. Cindy Williams served as pianist, Ashley 
and Brittany Quick sang "Go Rest High On That Mountain," Sparks United 
Methodist Church Choir sang "Just As I Am" and "I'll Meet You in the Morning."

 Interment was in Sparks City Cemetery.

 Active pallbearers were grandsons, Kenny Davis, Randy Davis, Tim Davis, 
Phillip Patterson, Stacy Patterson, David Nolan, Steve Nolan.

 Honorary pallbearers were Jerry Edwards, Ronald Tillman, Floyd Kelly, James 
Ensley, "Snuffy" Smith, Will Smith, Ed Revels.

 Boone-Lipsey Funeral Home of Adel was in charge of arrangements.
