 The Berrien Press -- Bennie Skinner, 63, of Adel died July 1, 2006 at his 
residence.
  Born December 22, 1942 in Berrien County to the late Payton Skinner and Mary 
Akridge Skinner Cray, he was a retired plant supervisor at Aluminum Finishing 
of Georgia. He was a member of Springhead Baptist Church.
  Survivors include his wife, Janice Powers Skinner of Adel; three sons and 
daughters-in-law, Dennis and Becky Skinner of Virginia Beach, VA, Stacy and 
Michelle Skinner of Adel and Steven and Denise Skinner of Nashville; three 
brothers, Lucious Skinner of Winauma, FL, Bryant Skinner of Ft. Meade, FL, Jake 
Skinner of Adel; three sisters, Dorothy Webb of Athens, Maxine Wilson of 
Bartow, FL, Frances Miley of Mt. Meade, FL; one granddaughter, Sara Grace 
Skinner of Nashville.
  Funeral services were held July 4 at 11 a.m. at Springhead Baptist Church 
with the Revs. John Hendley and Roscoe Bennett officiating. Denny Folsom 
pianist played "What A Friend We Have In Jesus," "Farther Along," and "Peace in 
the Valley."
  Interment was in Springhead Cemetery.
  Pallbearers were Danny Skinner Jr., Johnny Skinner, Jamie Miley, Tony 
Skinner, Buddy Skinner, Hemp Davis, Carl Hopkins, Sam Whitlock.
  Boone-Lipsey FUneral Home of Adel was in charge of arrangements.
