  Mrs. Leora Walker Shaw, 91 of Rt. 1, Adel passed away Dec. 18, 2009 at Me
Memorial Hospital of Adel after a long illness. She was born on June 20, 1918 in
in Tift Co. to the late Wiley and Effie Rooks Walker. She lived most of her li
life in Berrien and Cook Co. She was retired from Nashville Textile and was a me
member of First Assembly of God of Adel. She was preceded in death by her hu
husband, John Randall Shaw. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Ja
James and Wilma Shaw of Adel; daughter-in-law, Sally Lindsey Shaw of Lenox; six gr
grandchildren, Connie and Brent Barker, Dixon, Tenn., Ted Shaw, Jacksonville, Fl
Fla., Nancy and Dr. Howard Melton, Moultrie, Gerry Shaw, Lenox, Janice and Ko
Koven Luke, Adel, Lisa and Brent Donaldson, Nashville, Ga.; 14 great-gr
grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Willie Walker, Ta
Tampa, Fla.; three sisters and brother-in-law, Betty and Harold Cain, Lake Wa
Wales, Fla., Hattie Belle Rhodes, Tampa, Fla., Mary Ida Lisenby, Tifton. She wa
was preceded in death by one son, Foster Rudolph Shaw; Great grandson, Randall Ma
MacBrayer Martin; five brothers, Edwin, Ernest, Aubrey, Buddy and Alvin Walker an
and two sisters, Mattie Lou Lindsey and Evelyn Pharr. Funeral service will be he
held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 20, 2009 at Boone-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with th
the Rev. Chris Newbern officiating. Interment will be held in Concord Church Ce
Cemetery. Musical selections included "Amazing Grace" and "In the Garden."
 Pallbearers were Eric Martin, Kasey Luke, Jamie Martin, Ted Shaw, Shane M
Martin, Gerry Shaw. The family will receive friends this evening from 7-9 p.m. a
at Boone-Lipsey Funeral Home, Hwy. 41 South. - Boone-Lipsey Funeral Home, Adel w
was in charge of arrangements.
