 Dora P. Parker, 93, of Sparks died Dec. 5, 2011 at her residence.
 She was born Sept. 4, 1918, in Pavo to the late John Luther and Mary Anna 
Renfroe Pirkle. She lived in Cook County most of her life and was a homemaker 
and member of Brushy Creek Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her 
husband, Johnny Walter "J.W." "Walt" Parker, son, John "Sonny" Parker, and 
sister, Louise Metzinger.
 She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Louellen Parker of 
Sparks; three daughters and one son-in-law, Carol Ann Lindsey of Lenox, Nancy 
and Larry Kent and Gail P. Melton; 12 grandchildren, numerous great 
grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
 Funeral services were held Dec. 7 at 11 a.m. at Brushy Creek Church with Rev. 
Dillard Ensley officiating. Bobette Lamb played the piano. Mickey Lindsey led 
the congregation in singing "Precious Memories" and "In The Garden." A special 
medley of her favorite songs was played.
 Burial followed at Lakeview  Church Cemetery.
 Pallbearers were Shane Lindsey, David Lindsey, Scott Lindsey, Stephen Shiver, 
Jeff Shiver, Walter Parker.
 Boone Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
