 Gary Lamar Moore, 50, of Adel died October 27, 2008 at his residence after a 
battle with cancer.
 Born June 4, 1958 to Billy and Faye Pafford Moore, he was a member of First 
Assembly of God in Adel and enjoyed racing, hunting and fishing.
 Survivors include his wife, Kristy Hood Moore of Adel; two sons and daughters-
in-law, Joe and Jill Joiner of Adel and Houston and Jessica Joiner of Adel; 
daughter and son-in-law, Jessica and Arthur Verge of Jacksonville, FL; three 
grandchildren, Leah Joiner, Brooke Joiner, and Dru Verge; father and spouse, 
Billy and Betty Moore of Lenox; mother, Faye Pafford Moore of Adel; three 
sisters and brother in law, Tammy Moore of Adel, Lisa Solomon of Hahira, and 
Michelle Joe Denly of Adel; sister in law and brother in law, Karen and Brian 
McCann of Adel; brother in law and sister in law, John and Marie Hood of Adel; 
mother in law and father in law, Leon and Jeanie Hood; several nieces and 
nephews, aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his maternal 
grandparents, Marion and Martha Pafford; paternal grandparents, Ernest and 
Pearl Moore and Elias Pafford; maternal grandparents in law, Joe and Mona 
Newbern; paternal grandparents in law, J.W. and Nettie Clyde Hood; brother in 
law, Rickey Hood.
 Funeral services were held on Oct. 30 at First Assembly of God with the Revs. 
Charles Blair, Phillip Simmons, and Dell Young officiating. Musical selections 
were "Midnight Cry," "Lord it Hurts, But I'm Still God," and "I Am in Heaven," 
sung to Gary and Chuck Day.
 Interment followed at Brushy Creek Church Cemetery.
 Active pallbearers were Ricky Tucker, Michael Hudgins, Terry Harper, Scotty 
Moore, Michael Moore, Billy Miley.
 Honorary pallbearers were Nicky Griffin, Dusty Moore, Doug Bennett, Jerry 
Moore, Jerry Joiner, Lonnie Roberts, Andy Brady.
 Purvis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
