 Charlie J. McLellan, Sr., 83, of Nashville passed away on October 30, 2015, at 
Tift Regional Medical Center following a long illness.
 Mr. McLellan was born August 21, 1932, in Cook County to the late Alford and Rosa 
Lee Cribb McLellan. He had lived most of his life in Cook County and last 12 years 
in  Berrien County. He had retired from the U.S. Army after 22 years of service, 
being a veteran of the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. Mr. McLellan was a 
member of the Crosscreek Baptist Church, DAV and was a retired owner of McLellan's 
Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Repair.
 He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mrs. Betty Mullis McLellan of Nashville; 
two daughters and son-in-law, Diana Hesch of Ray City and Rose and Scotty Peters 
of Enigma; one son and daughter-in-law, Charlie McLellan, Jr. and Judy McLellan of 
Adel; grandchildren, Brittany Chapman of Tifton, Brian Peters of Hawaii, Tiffany 
Peters of Enigma and Chris Hesch of Savannah; great-grandchildren, Carson Chapman 
of Tifton, Kara and Allison Peters of Hawaii, Jada Hesch of Valdosta; step-
grandchildren, Kimberly Harper of Nashville and Steven Exum of Moultrie; two 
brothers and sisters-in-law, Don and Barbara McLellan of Campobello, SC and Alfred 
Mac and Brenda McLellan of Inman, SC; one sister and brother-in-law, Rhoda and 
Frank Brock of Landrum, SC.
 He was preceded by three sisters, Lois Fountain, Beverly Smith and Lynnis 
McLellan; brother, Herman McLellan, and step-brother, Raymond Brantley.
 Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Monday, November 1 in the Chapel of 
Boone Funeral Home with Dr. Danny Ray and Rev. Scotty Mathis officiating. Rev 
Scotty Mathis played piano and sang Tears Will Nover Stain the Streets of That 
City. Other special selections played were Go Rest High on that Mountain, 
Beulah Land, and Daddy's Hands.
 Interment was in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens with Miliary Honors.
 Pallbearers were Tony Hall, Terry Bradford, Ben Warren, Caleb Gaskins, Stanley 
Gaskins and Matt Carter.
