The Berrien Press -- Tommy E. Luke, 72, of Lenox died May 5, 2006 at his 
residence.
 Born April 11, 1934 in Cook County to the late Henry Edward and Essie Ida 
Bellflower Luke, he was owner and operator of Luke's Service Station. He was a 
member of Ebenezer Baptist Church and served in the U.S. Army during the 
Korean War.
 Survivors include his wife, Iretha Bennett Luke of Lenox, one daughter and 
son-in-law, Donna and Ronnie Griffin of Lenox; two sons and daughters-in-law, 
Kenny and June Luke and Keith and Sheila Luke, all of Lenox; two brothers, 
Julius Luke of Tifton and James Luke of Lenox; three sisters, Betty Jean Jones 
of Mega, Macy Luke of Fitzgerald, Margie Giddens of Adel; grandchildren, Chad 
and Danyelle Griffin of Kennesaw, Melanie and Jarred Lawrence of Adel, Kayla 
Mullis, Kara Luke, Karlie Luke all of Lenox; great-grandchildren, Aaliyah 
Merritt and Kelsey Mullis, both of Lenox, Megan Lawrence of Adel.
 Funeral services were held May 8 at 2 p.m. at Pine Grove Baptist Church with 
the Revs. Jimmie Hinson, Lamar Harris and Ken Potts officiating. Jennifer 
Daughtrey served as pianist, and Doris Arnold sang "Beulah Land," Steve Meders 
sang "Go Rest High On That Mountain," Donnell Sellers sang "Come Morning," and 
the congregation sang "Amazing Grace."
 Interment was in Lenox City Cemetery.
 Active pallbearers were Tim Luke, Gene Sellers, Mike Luke, Ray Pritchard, 
Lamar Exum, Randy Jones, Andy Baker, Stan Castleberry.
 Honorary pallbearers were nephews, Walter Wilson, Melvin Mathis, Everett 
Franks, Charlie Bryant, Dane Perkins, Randell Norman, Ronnie Bennett, Johnny 
Daughtrey, Tommy Daughtrey, Fred Powell, Joseph "Bug" Baker, Lamar Hyde, 
Richard Varnadoe, Henry Crumbley, H. W. Lott.
 Boone-Lipsey Funeral Home of Adel was in charge of arrangements.
