 Thelma hood, 71, of Adel died April 28, 2012, at her residence.
 Born February 23, 1941, in Atkinson County to the late Huey and Fannie Lewis 
Dupree, she was a homemaker and broker with The Hood Co. She was a member of 
Nashville Church of God and the widow of James Edward "Jim" Hood who died in 
2007. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn Westberry, and a g
grandson, Drew Brown.
 Survivors include three daughters and two sons-in-law, Lisa and Wayne Nix of 
Nashville, Angela Hood of Adel, and Gina and Ray Bryant of Norman Park; son and 
daughter-in-law, Jamey and Patricia Hood of Adel; sisters, Doris Whitley of 
Albany, Ruth Bennett and Eliza Young both of Nashville; brother, Ed Dupree of 
Nashville; 14 grandchildren 9 great-grandchildren.
 Funeral services were held May 1 at 2 p.m. at Nashville Church of God with Revs
Revs. Larry Daughtry and Scott Walker officiating. Musical selections incl
included "Amazing Grace," "Peace in the Valley,"
"I Want Us to be Together in Heaven" and "Go Rest High on That Mountain."
 Interment followed in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
 Active pallbearers were Robert Watson, Ed Lombard, Michael Bennett, Thomas B
Bennett, Stanley Bennett, Mike Harrison.
 Honorary pallbearers were Ted Whitley, Ronald Bennett, Lewey Westberry, Junior
Futch
Futch, Tom Thomas, Tom Thomas, Jr.
 Lovein Funeral home was in charge of arrangements.
