 ADEL — James Edward “Jim” Hood, 72, of Adel, died Friday, Dec. 14,
2007, at his 
residence. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Nashville Church 
of God, with the Rev. Larry Daughtry officiating. Burial will be at Woodlawn 
Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 tonight at Lovein Funeral 
Home, Nashville. Mr. Hood was born June 1, 1935, in Colquitt County, the son of 
James William Hood and Nettie Clyde Hamilton Hood, both deceased. He was also 
preceded in death by two brothers, Jerry Hood and Bill Hood. Mr. Hood was an 
Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a real estate agent and attended 
Nashville Church of God. Survivors include his wife, Thelma Dupree Hood of 
Adel; three daughters, Lisa (Wayne) Nix of Nashville and Angela Hood and Gina 
Hood, both of Adel; one son, Jamey (Patricia) Hood of Adel; two sisters, Betty 
Hood and Ann Brown, both of Adel; one brother, Leon Hood, of Adel; 14 
grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Lovein Funeral Home, Nashville, is 
in charge of arrangements
