 Carl C. Hancock, 61, of Lenox died February 20, 2004 at Memorial Hospital of 
Adel.

 Born October 25, 1942 in Berrien County to Elneeta Kirkland Davis of Valdosta 
and the late Sims Auston Hancock, he had lived most of his life in Cook County. 
He was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church.

 Survivors, in addition to his mother, include two brothers, James Hancock of 
Lake Wales, FL and Ernest Hancock of Nashville; six half-brothers, Lollie Joe 
Griffin of Lakeland, Earl Wayne Griffin of Georgia, Carson Hancock and Wayne 
Hancock both of Ft. Meade, FL, Hollis Hancock and Danny Hancock, both of Lake 
Wales; two half-sisters, Essie Griffin of Lake Wales and Shirley Hancock of 
Frost Proof, FL.

 A memorial service was held February 23 at 2 p.m. at Pine Grove Church 
Cemetery with the Rev. Wayne Hancock officiating. Mr. Hancock was cremated.

 Interment was in Pine Grove Church Cemetery.

 Boone-Lipsey Funeral Home of Adel was in charge of arrangements.
