 Glyn Cowart, 70, of Adel died June 9, 2004 at South Georgia Medical Center in 
Valdosta.

 Born May 21, 1934 in Berrien County to the late Joseph Bryant and Minnie Leola 
Akridge Cowart, he lived most of his life in Valdosta before moving to Adel 
eight years ago. He was a retired plant manager with TCI Cable. He was of the 
Primitive Baptist faith and served with the National Guard.

 Survivors include his wife, Naomi Forte Cowart of Adel; one son, Steve Cowart 
of Decatur; one daughter, Candy Stevens of Winder; four brothers, 
Albert "Buddy" Cowart and Ben Cowart, both of Adel, Joseph "Hub" Cowart of 
Monroe, NY, Johnny Cowart of Lenox; two sisters, Evelyn Godwin and Louise 
Hendley, both of Adel, two grandchildren.

 Funeral services were held June 11 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Boone-Lipsey 
Funeral Home with Elder Thad Marshall and Rev. John Hendley officiating. Lori 
Carnine, soloist and pianist, sang "Amazing Grace."

 Interment was in Woodlawn City Cemetery.

 Pallbearers were Don Carnine, Matthew Bennett, John Hendley, Jr., Johnny 
Lancaster, Stanley Boyette, R.E. Hendley, Jr., Gary Godwin, Rene Cowart.

 Boone-Lipsey Funeral Home of Adel was in charge of arrangements.
