        JAMES F. BOYD PASSES
         BURIAL NEAR LAKELAND
   Funeral services for James F.
Boyd, 28, of Fr. Lauderdale, Fla.
were held Thursday at 3 p.m. [?1973]in 
Fender's Chapel near Lakeland (GA?).
   The Rev. Fred Hester and the Rev.
Henry Conger officiated.  Interment
was in Fender Cemetery.
   Pallbearers were Danny Ray Cooper,
Pete Davis, Tommy Davis, Randall 
Spells, Richard Coleman and Ed Ash.
   "Precious Memories" and "Amazing
Grace" were sung by a trio composed
of Mrs. Elma Taylor, Mrs. Idell Roland
and Mrs. Roscue Leavens.
   Mr. Boyd died unexpectedly Monday
in Ft. Lauderdale.  He was born June 
18, 1945, in Lakeland.
   Survivors are his mother and step-
father, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Mack Fender
of Adel, a son, Joseph Boyd of Ft. 
Lauderdale, a half-brother, Ben Riggs
of Norfolk, Va.; three sisters, Mrs.
Ruth Cardinal of Austin, Texas, Mrs.
Judy Wooden of Shepherdsville, Ky.,
and Mrs. Eva Spells of Quitman.
   Boone Funeral Home was in charge
of arrangements.
