Boone, 82, of Adel, died at his residence Thursday following a short illness. He was born in Lowndes County and had lived in Cook most of his life. He was a retired farmer and a member of Antioch United Methodist Church. His parents are the late Joseph and Hester Boone. He was proceeded in death by his wife, Mrs. Bessie Moore Boone. He is survived by one son, Raymond Boone of Miami, FL, three step-sons, Bill Moore of Sparks, Charles Moore and Gerald Moore, both of Nashville, two daughters, Mrs. Velma Barnes of Warner Robins, GA and Lethis Nichols of Cecil, GA, one brother, JB Boone of Jacksonville, FL, six grandchildren, 10 step grandchildren, and four great step grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 PM at the chapel of Boone Funeral Home on South 41 with the Rev Earl Buckholts and the Rev Dale Fuller officiating. Burial will be in the Antioch Church Cemetery. Boone Funeral Home of Adel is in charge.
