 Elizabeth Dorothy Bennett, 73, of Adel died March 4, 2005 at Tift Regional 
Medical Center in Tifton.
 Born March 11, 1931 in Colquitt County to the late James Warren and Florence 
Belle Merritt Hiers, she was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She was 
married to the late Grady Bennett.
 Survivors include two daughters, Sandra Edgeworth of Adel and Brenda Smith of 
Enigma; three sons, Grady Bennett, Jr. of Pavo, Glynn Bennett of Kingsland, 
Randall Bennett of Enigma; sister, Dean Hiers of Meigs; brother, Paul Hiers of 
Adel; 14 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren.
 A graveside service was held March 7 at 2 p.m. at Crossroads Cemetery with the 
Rev. Jimmy W. Hiers officiating. Jarrod Bennett sang "I'll Fly Away," and Keith 
Gerisch played "Swing Low, Sweet Chariot" on the harmonica.
 Active pallbearers were Jarrod Bennett, Daemon Bennett, Larry Watford, Mike 
Bennett, Nick Bennett, Jerry Hampton.
 Honorary pallbearers were Mike Hampton and Edwin Gerisch.
 Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
