J.T. "Shine" Walker 
Date of death: Tuesday, Feb. 19, 1991, at home in Tifton, GA.
Services held at First Assembly of God, Tifton, GA. Rev. O.L. Stokes 
officiating. Burial was in the Oak Ridge Cemetery, Tifton. Nephews served as 
pallbearers.  The Adult Sunday School class of the First Assembly of God 
church and Durl Baldree, Herman Walker, and Johnny Mills were honorary 
pallbearers.
  Shine was born March 25, 1921, in Berrien County, he was retired from 
Avondale Mills.  He was the son of John C. Walker and Amanda Drawdy Walker. He 
was a member of First Assembly of God of Tifton.  Most of his life he lived in 
Tifton.
  Surviving him are his wife, Jewell Cagle Walker of Tifton; three sons, Buddy 
Walker of Omega, Capt. Chaplain Charles L. Walker of Ft. Campbell, KY.; a 
daughter, Jane Baker of Omega; seven brothers, Eston H. Walker of Tifton, 
Ronald Walker, Henry Walker, Carlos Walker, all of Lakeland, FL., Wayne Walker 
of North Carolina, L.A. Walker of Alabama, Roger Walker of Saudi Arabia; eight 
sisters, Flora Bell Rutland, Clara Mae Mills, Jewell Hall, Virginia Young, all 
of Tifton, Irene Cox of Lenox, Dovie Holm, Ressie Walker, Sherry Powers, all 
of Lakeland, FL. Ten grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Additional Comments:
Shine spent most of his child hood in Berrien, Co. working on the family farm.
