"Miss Walker dies after short Illness"

Miss Florence Walker, 31, died early yesterday morning at the Phoebe Putney Memorial after an
illness of several days.
She had made her home in Albany for the last year and a half, and at the time of her death, was
employed at the Cudahy Packing Company branch office here. She was formerly of Montgomery, AL.
Surviving are her mother, Mrs. G. W. Walker, Tifton; three sisters, Mrs. William Sanders and
Mrs. H. L. Massey both of Albany, and Mrs. J. Roland of Tifton; three brothers, R. c. Walker and
J. C. Walker both of Tifton, and W. L. Walker of Miami. They have the deepest sympathy of friends
in their bereavement.
The funeral was held this afternoon in the chapel of the Albany Undertaking Compnay. Dr. 
Leonard A. Stephens, pastor of the First Baptist Church, conducted the service. Interment
followed in the Zion Hope Baptist Church cemetery in Tift County.
Pallbearers were Floyd Lee, Eddie Ort, Bill Harris, L. E. Roan, Harry Pursley and E. H. Heidt.
The Albany Undertaking Company was in charge of arrangements.
