    Loy Rigdon

    Mr. Loy Rigdon of Ocilla died Sunday, July 5, 1998 at the Osceola 
Nursing Home, Ocilla. He was 81.
Mr. Rigdon was born August 2, 1916 in Tift County, the son of Thomas and 
Lula Rigdon. He was a retired electrician and plumber. Mr. Rigdon had 
lived in Ocilla far the past 34 years. He was a Shriner, Mason and a 
charter member of the Hasan Temple of Albany. He was a member of the 
Ocilla Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mae Rigdon of Ocilla; two sons, Bill  Rigdon 
of Ocilla and Tommy Rigdon of Conyers; one daughter,  Betty McKey of 
Orofino, ID, and four grandchildren.
Graveside services were held at Oak Ridge Cemetery of Tifton, with Rev. 
Jesse Alligood and Dr. Phil Wilkes officiating.   
Pallbearers were Franklin Martin, T. J. Ridgon, Rick Rigdon, Matt Brown, 
Jeff Lott and Keith Sims.
Honorary pallbearers were Vincent Walters, James Sparks, Buddy Hill and 
Ronnie Shannon.
Paulk Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
