BROADWELL IVEY, 72 Tile Setter LAKE WALES  

Mr. Broadwell Leo "Bird Dog" Ivey of Lake Wales died of lung failure Thursday
(May 26, 2005) at Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale. He was 72.Born in Ty Ty,
Ga., on Feb. 18, 1933, he came to Lake Wales from Tifton, Ga., 62 years ago. He
was a master mechanic tile setter. He was an Army veteran. He was a volunteer
fireman for the Timberlane Fire Department. He was a member of New Harvest
Worship Center in Lake Wales.

Mr. Ivey is survived by his wife, Louetta M. Ivey; son, Joey L. Ivey, Lake
Wales; daughters, Marsha Renee Mayne and Kimberly Ann Strickland, both of Lake
Wales; brothers, Jimmy Ivey, Lake Wales, David Ivey, Raleigh, N.C., John Ivey,
Winter Haven, Marcus Floyd Ivey, Haines City; sisters, Hazel Bryant, Lakeland,
Glenda Crews, Labelle; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at New Harvest Worship Center in
Lake Wales.  Memorials may be made to New Harvest Worship Center in Lake
Wales.Steele's Family Funeral Services, Winter Haven.
