Funeral services for William Jefferson "Bud" Howell of Omega, who died Wednesday
in Georgia Care Nursing Home, will be held Friday at 2:30PM in the Chapel of
Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
The Revs. A. C. McLemore and R. S. Hayes will officiate with burial to be held
in Oakridge Cemetery.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers will be Roger Dunn, John Brady, G. W. Lupo, Mitchell
Hinson, Roy Woody, the Rev. H. W. Giddens, John Stephens, and Henry Crumley.
Born March 11, 1883, in Cochran, the retired farmer was the son of the late
William and Sara Jane Arnold Howell. He was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church
in Cook County. His first wife, Sara Griffin Howell, died in 1957. He had lived
in Colquitt 63 years.
Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Ruth Evers Howell of Omega; four sons, Archie
Howell and Ira Howell, both of Eldorado, Ralph Howell of Macon, and Grady Howell
of Albany; one daughter, Mrs. Fred Sumner of Rockledge, Fla.; one sister, Mrs.
Eddie Goodman of Tifton; 13 grandchildren; and 37 great-grandchildren.
The body will lie in state at the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals
until the hour of interment.

William Jefferson "Bud" Howell was born 3-11-1883 and died 10-25-1974( GA DC#
33370) and is buried at Oakridge Cemetery in Tift County. His father was Daniel
H. Howell Jr. and is buried in Pulaski County, Georgia. His mother, Sara Jane
Arnold Howell Faulk is buried at Liberty Church Cemetery in Tift County.
