 Ruby Lee Sumner Harris, 88, of West Berrien went home to be with her Lord on 
November27, 2014, at Tift Regional Medical Center.
 Mrs. Harris was born on November 20, 1926, in Turner County to the late Henry 
Sumner and Alice Sandifer Sumner Golden. She was also preceded in death by two 
grandsons, Randy Harris and Albie Shively; two brothers, William Sumner and W. 
L. Golden; three sisters, Ruth Drawdy, Lena Rutland and Katie Golden; five step-
brothers, James Golden, Heston Golden, Clayton Golden, Pleamon Golden and Wylie 
Golden; and two step-sisters, Nellie Eaton and Maggie Parr. She was a homemaker 
and a member of Union Grove Church of God for over 45 years.
 Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Olen Harris of West Berrien; son and 
daughter-in-law, Larry and Robin Harris of West Berrien; two daughters and a 
son-in-law, JoAn B. Miller and Glenda and Glenn Snow, all of West Berrien; 
brother, Albert Sumner of Eldorado; sister, Laura Golden of Nashville; sister-
in-law, Juanita Golden of West Berrien; eight grandchildren and their spouses, 
Angie Evans, Tracie and Jamie Ivey, Janice and Chris Overstreet, Paul Snow, 
Julie and Billy Jones, Amanda and Greg Luke, Sandy and Jessica Harris and Becky 
Harris;14 great grandchildren.
 Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on December 1 at Union Grove Church of God 
in Eldorado with Rev. Todd Garner, Rev. Tommy Dorman and Rev. Joseph L. Crumley 
officiating.
 Interment was in Oakey Grove Church Cemetery in Berrien County.
 Pallbearers were Donald Harris, Bobby Drawdy, Donnie Drawdy, Lance Golden, 
Terrell Rutland, Darrell Sumner.
 Honorary pallbearers were the Senior Sunday school class at Union Grove Church 
of God.
 Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals was in charge of arrangements.
