Eleanor Champion Hawks 



SYLVESTER  Eleanor Champion Hawks, 75, of Oakfield died September 10, 2007, at 

her residence. 



The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Oakfield Baptist Church with 

interment in Oakfield Cemetery. The Rev. Danny Story Jr. will officiate. 



Born June 30, 1932, in Tift County to Martha Jane Sutton Rouse and Clyde 

Champion, Mrs. Hawks had lived in Worth County and Oakfield most of her her 

life. She was a homemaker, a member of Crepe Myrtle Chapter #163 Order of the 

Eastern Star in Albany and Oakfield Baptist Church. Mr. and Mrs. Hawks would 

have celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary on September 17, 2007. 



Survivors include her husband, Charles W. Hawks Sr. of Oakfield; daughter, 

Christie Foerster (Kyle) of Sylvester; two sons, Charles W. (Charlie) Hawks Jr. 

(Penny) of Oakfield and Michael C. Hawks of Albany; eight grandchildren, 

Michael Jr., Mark and Matthew Hawks, Lakyn and Kylee Foerster, James Powell, 

B.J. and Jay Bowles; three sisters, Wynelle Fox of Farmville, VA, Betty Ensell 

of Brooksville, FL, and Vivian Sullivan of Hastings, NE. 



The family will receive friends today from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Banks Funeral 

Home.
