              Mrs. Annie W. Dove Is Taken By Death
 Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at four o'clock. E. W. T___ at 
Herring Memorial Church in South Tifton for Mrs. Annie Webb Dove, 44, who died 
at the Tift County Hospital Friday afternoon June 2nd at 3:40 o'clock after 
several months illness. She had been a patient at the hospital for nine days. 
The remains have been taken to the residence, 507 South Main Street, where they 
will lie in state until the funeral hour.
 Rev. H. B. Allen will conduct the services, arrangements of which are in 
charge of Bowen-Donaldson Funeral Home and interment will be in the Tifton 
Cemetery. The pall bearers will be R. V. Pope, Thomas Scott, R. W. Revels, Bob 
Weathers, Calvin Faircloth, and Bernie Register.
 Mrs. Dove was born in Irwin County, now Tift County, January 31, 1900, a 
daughter of Bill and Lizzie Hobbs Webb and had spent her life in Tift County. 
She married Emory D. Dove in 1914. Mrs. Dove is survived by her mother, Mrs. 
Lizzie Hobbs Webb of Tifton, her husband, Emory D. Dove, Tifton; three sons, J. 
T. Dove of Tifton, James E. Dove of Valdosta, and Pvt Leroy Dove with the armed 
forces in the Southwest Pacific. Surviving also is a half sister, Mrs. Beulah 
Cooper of Tifton.

COMPILER NOTE-- The obituary is incorrect as it relates to her parents. They 
were Z. A. Durley and Elizabeth Hopson Webb Durley Hobbs. Z. A. Durley was the 
2nd husband of Elizabeth "Lizzie" Hopson.
