 Sam Davis Conway, 83, of Tifton died February 19, 2005 at his residence.
 Born March 13, 1921 in Bartow County to the late George Thomas and Hester 
Adeline Honeycutt Conway, he was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII, serving in 
Germany. He was a retired farmer and textile manager at J.P. Stevens and was of 
the Baptist faith. He was also a musician with the Coastal Plains Boys.
 Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Lee Miller Conway of Tifton; three sons, 
Sammy Conway and David Conway, both of Tifton, Bobby Conway of Norman Park; 
sister, Ada Ashmore of Tifton; 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren.
 Funeral services were held February 21 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Albritton-
Beaumont Funeral Directors with the Revs. Billy Sumner and Danny Harrelson 
officiating.
 Interment was in Tift Memorial Gardens.
 Pallbearers were Wayne Morgan, Ronnie Vaughn, Danny Conway, Earl Bishop, Coy 
Miller, Jr., Larry Burgess.
 Honorary pallbearers were Donnie Smith, Charles Cone, Sam Camp, W.L. Martin, 
Ronnie Storey, Cecil Westbrook, Jerry Connor, Joe Burns, Cal Carpenter, Clint 
Carpenter, Fred Carpenter, Stan Carpenter.
 Albritton-Beaumont Funeral Directors, Tiftarea Chapel, was in charge of 
arrangements
