The Tifton Gazette - July 5, 2013
 Joseph Lee "Joe" Burns, 90, of Tifton, died Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at Tift 
Regional Medical Center.
 Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, July 7, at eh Enigma City 
Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-2:30 Sunday at Albritton-
Beaumont Funeral Directors.
 Mr. Burns was born May 3, 1923 in Berrien County to the late William C. "John" 
and Pollie Boykin Burns. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death 
by his wife, Sarah Marguerite Terry Burns, two sisters and two brothers, Mr. 
Burns was a retired maintenance custodian with the Department of Transportation 
and J.P. Stevens. He loved people and enjoyed sitting on his front porch waving 
and visiting with his friends. He also enjoyed bluegrass music and watching his 
favorite television shows.
 He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Mitzi Burns of Tifton; 
two granddaughters, Savannah Burns and Melissa Youmans; five great-
grandchildren, Kassidyn Youmans, Koastal Youmans, Kagan Youmans, Sailor Youmans 
and Sealan Youmans; as well as several nieces and nephews.
 Albritton-Beaumont Funeral Directors is in charge of arrangements.
