Will of Mary Gause  26 June 1810. 21 March 1812
Know all men by these presents that I Mary Gause of Fayette County and 
Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Considering the uncertainty of this Mortal Life 
doth make this my last will and Testament in Manner and form following hereby 
Revoking all others. I do Will that all my Just Debts & funeral expenses be 
paid as soon as may be after my decease I give and bequeath to my mother Grace 
Gause all the Neat proceeds of my Estate (after my Just debts & Funeral 
expenses & etc be paid as aforesaid) During her Natural Life, And at her 
decease I will that it be divided in the following manner Viz. To Jane W Fall 
Wife of Dan'el Fall I give four pounds Pennsylvania Currency likewise to my 
Nephew Daniel Gudgell I give and bequeath the sum of four pounds Pennsylvania 
Currency And then the remainder to be Divided into five equal shares And I 
give and bequeath to my Sister Sarah Gause Wife of Enoch Gause two of the 
aforementioned shares, and to my Brother Solomon Gause and to my two other 
Sisters Amy Jones and Rachel Gudgell I give one share to each; only I invest 
my Brother Solomon with my Two sisters Amy & Rachels shares to hand out as he 
thinks  they severally stand in need And at their death to be equally Divided 
among their Children. And as for the twenty five Acres of Land which was left 
by my father's will interest to me for my Sister Rachel Gudgel and likewise 
her share of my Fathers personal estate as left by his will to me in trust for 
her and her use I do hereby will and appoint my nephew Samuel Gause to the 
same trust and power to act for her use as left to me to do by my father for 
all and every part thereof  that may remain in my hand at my Decease according 
to the true Intent and meaning of his will. And I do hereby nominate and 
appoint  Solomon Gause and Robert Miller to be my Executors to see this my 
last Will and Testament Executed according to the true Intent and Meaning 
thereof. In witness whereof I have set my hand and seal this twenty sixth day 
of the sixth month one thousand Eight hundred and ten. 1810 Signed sealed 
published and declared by the said Mary Gause to be her last will and 
testament in the presence of us who also subscribed our names as Witnesses 
thereunto in the presence of the Testator and each other.    Mary Gause (seal)

Robert Milller appears before Register and Renounces his Right of 
Administering the Estate above mentioned. 21 March 1812       Alexander Mclean

Fayette County Ss The twenty first day of March Anno Domini 1812 Before me the 
Register for the probating of wills  and granting of Letters of Administration 
in and for the said County personally came Clement Courtis  and Eli Gause the 
subscribing witnesses to the foregoing last will and testament of Mary Gause 
and on their several affirmations did declare  that they saw the said Mary 
Gause sign and seal the same and for her last will and testament when of right 
mind and memory that no undue influence had been used to thwart intention or 
later will made by her  to their knowledge and belief that they together with 
David Chandler  and Aaron Chandler signed their names to the same as Witness  
in the presence of the testator. Given under  my hand and seal. Registered and 
compared the 21st of March 1812.  Alexander Mclean  Register
