Will of PETER FRIEDT  Book 1, p. 321    1830

In the Name of God Amen this twenty fourth day of March in the year 
of our Lord eighteen hundred and thirty, I Peter Friedt of Bullskin 
Township, Fayette Co., PA in the State of Pennsylvania, being in a 
weak and low state of Body, but Blessed be God of perfect mind and 
memory do make and ordain this my last will and Testament (to wit)  
Principly and first of all I recommend my soul unto the hand of 
Almighty God who gave it and my body to be buried in a decent and 
Christian manner.  And touching such worldly Estate it has pleased 
God to bless me with, I do give, devise and dispose of it in the 
following manner -- First, it is my will and I do hereby order and 
authorise my beloved widow, Christina Friedt to collect all my 
outstanding debt and to pay all my just debts and funeral expenses 
out of the personal estate , then it is my will and I order that the 
balance of my personal Estate together with all my real Estate my 
said widow shall have possess, enjoy all the proceeds arising 
therefrom during her natural lifetime out of which she shall raise, 
clothe and educate all my minor children and my said widow shall have 
full priveledge to live (if she should choose to do so) in my present 
mansion house & farm and to work the same at her own discretion, and 
after her decease I order that my heirs, shall divide amongst 
themselves, equally all such personal estate as may be left.  And my 
Plantation or all my real Estate I order that my heirs shall choose 
three disinterested, judicious men to put a conscientious valuation 
thereon and if any of my heirs should choose to take it at the 
valuation, they shall have the first chance in case the should refuse 
to accept of the same there they shall sell the same at public sale 
and the money shall be equally divided among all my heirs, Henry 
Friedt, Eva Friedt, Maria Friedt, Caty Friedt, Joseph Freidt, Peter 
Friedt, John Friedt and my said heirs shall (-------)
unto the purchaser or purchasers or release in any other legal way 
that may be required of them.  Revoking all former wills by me made  
ratifying this to be my last will and testament In witness whereof I 
have hereinto set my hand and seal this day and year first above

Fayette County (Seal) This 26th day of October Anno Domini 1830 
before me Alexander McClean, Register for the Probate of wills and 
Granting Letters of Administration in and for said County personally 
came Jacob Tinstman, Isaac Pershing and Abraham Pershing the 
subscribing witnesses to the foregoing last will and testament and 
being duly sworn and affirmed did declare that they respectively and 
severally saw the Testator sign the same when in his right mind, that 
they knew of no undue influence used or later will made, by said 
deceased. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal 
of the Register's Office for the County of Fayette the same day

Letters Testamento Amimo(?) were granted same day. Inventory to be 
exhibited and settlement made as usual.
