Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, being of sound and disposing memory, thanks be
to God for his goodness, and calling to mind the mortality of my body, knowing
that it is appointed for all men to die, and that I may be better prepared
when God may see proper to call me hence, do make and publish this, my last
will and testament, in manner and form following: First and principally, I
commit my soul to God, its creator, and my body to the earth, to be buried in a
Christian like manner
Item Second. After my debts and funeral expenses are
paid, I will, devise, and bequeath to my nephews, Joseph and James Caldwell,
sons of my brother, William, fifty dollars each, to be paid to them by my
executor when they arrive at the age of twenty one years The balance of my
estate I wish to be equally divided between my mother, Rachel Caldwell, and my
two youngest sisters, Sarah and Elizabeth Caldwell, share and share alike to
them, their heirs and assigns forever. Finally, I nominate and appoint my
brother, James Caldwell, the executor of this, my last will and testament,
revoking all, any and all former wills made by me to be of no effect,
declaring this, and only this, to be my last will and testament. in testimony
