Following are excerpts from the Records of the Orphan's Court of Fayette
County, Pennsylvania.
These "excerpts" came from "The History Of The Burnsworth Family" donated
and on file at the "Pennsylvania Room" in Uniontown, Fayette County
Pennsylvania.
Ididn't manage to copy the compiler's name but would like to give them
credit for the information, I'm sure it was a Burnworth Family member. I
just copied the information andwanted topost it since noteveryone can get
to the Pa. Room in Uniontown.

(October 4th 1798) - (Excerpt #1)

"Fayette County For The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to Sheriff ofFayette
County Greeting"

We Command You that you take "GEORGE BURNWORTH" of your County, Yeoman, if
he be found within your Bailiwick, and him safely keep so that you have his
body before our judge at Union Town at our Court of Common Pleas there to be
held for the county of aforesaid the fourth Monday of December next to
answer "JOHN POTTER" of a plea of trespass on the (xxxxAc)? and have then
there this writ. Witness the Honorable "ALEXANDER ADDISON" Esquire at Union
Town, the Twenty Seventh day of September in the year of our Lord One
Thousand Seven Hundred and Ninety Eight.

(October 4th 1798) - (Excerpt # 2)

(Bond Posted)

Know All Men by these presents, that we "GEORGE BURNWORTH and "JOB CLARK"
are held and firmly bound unto THOMAS COLLINS, High Sheriff of the county of
Fayette, in the sum of One Hundred and Fifty Pounds lawful money of the
State of Pennsylvania, for which payment to be made to the said Sheriff, his
executors, administrators, or assigns, we hereby firmly bond ourselves, and
each of our Heirs, executors and administrators severally and jointly by
these presents.

		 "Sealed with our Seals, and dated this 4th day of October
		 1798"
The Condition of the above Obligation is such that if the above bounden
GEORGE BURNWORTH shall be and appear at the next County Court of Common
Pleas, to be held at the Town of Union Town for County of Fayette, on the
fourth Monday of December next, then and there to answer JOHN POTTER ESQ. of
a plea of trespass on the ??? then this obligation to be void, otherwise to
be and remain full force and virtue.

(September 1802, Volume 1) - (Excerpt #3)

To the Honorable the Justices of the Orphans Court of Fayette County to be
holden at Union Town for the County of Fayette the second Monday of
September 1802.
The petition of "Elizabeth Burnworth", Administrates, and "Job Clark",
Administrator of the estate of George Burnworth, late of Wharton Township,
deceased, humbly sheweth that the deceased died leaving One Child Named
JOHN, born in his lifetime, now aged three years and upward, therefore
request your Honors would be pleased to appoint a guardian to take charge of
his person and estate during his minority.

						     And your petitioners
						     shall pray
						     Elizabeth Burnworth



(September 1802, Volume 1, Page 44) - (Excerpt #4)

This court appoints "ABRAHAM TRIMBLY" of Wharton Township to be guardian
over the person and property of "JOHN BURNWORTH" minor son of "GEORGE
BURNWORTH" deceased, until he becomes of age at age "Fourteen".

(June 1804, Volume 1, Page 51)

"ELIZABETH BURNWORTH" and "JOB CLARK" Administrators of all and singular the
goods and chattels, and rights and credits which were GEORGE BURNWRTH of
Wharton Township, Fayette County, deceased produced to the court the account
of their administration, duly prepared before the Register, whereby there
appears to be a balance in the hands of the said administrators of One
Hundred and Sixty-Nine Dollars and Twenty Cents, which account the court
allows and confirms and orders that the said balance after deducting there
from the sum of One Dollar and Twenty-Five Cents, the expenses of this
court, be and remain in the hands of the said Administrators until such time
that they may be lawfully called upon for the same.

(December 1820, Volume 1, Page 259) - (Excerpt # 5)

January 8th 1821, On motion to this court, rule upon "ELIZABETH BURNWORTH"
and "JOB CLARK" administrators of all and singular the goods and chattels,
rights and credits, which were of "GEORGE BURNWORTH' late of Wharton
Township, Fayette County, deceased, to show cause on the first day of next
term, why they should not pay over the balance of said estate, now remaining
in their hands, to "JOHN G. BURNWORTH". They assured March 5, 1821 on motion
to this court, rule confirmed.
