Will of PAUL ACKERMAN (AUCKERMANN) Will book 1, p. 095

In the Name of God, Amen. I, Paul Ackerman of Tyrone Township of the 
County of Fayette in the State of Pennsylvania, yeoman, being sick 
and weak of Body but of sound and disposing mind and memory, do 
hereby make this my last will and Testament revoking all others. 
First and principally I recommend my immortal soul into the hand of 
the Almighty God, my Creator and my Body to the Earth to be decently 
interred at discretion of my herinafter mentioned Executor and as to 
such worldly Goods and Estate wherewith it hath pleased God to Bless 
me, I devise and dispose in the following manner.  Imprimise? to my 
dearly beloved Sophia I give and bequeath all my personal Estate  
Household goods and furniture of what sever Kind together with my 
plantation of sixty five acres and  allowance for the joint use and 
support of her, my children who live in the family for and during the 
natural life which plantation I do hereby appraise and consider to be 
worth three hundred pounds money of Pennsylvania which after my said 
wifes Decease I hereby grand and devise to my beloved and only son, 
John Ackerman to his heirs and assigns forever, he paying  thereout 
and therefor into the hands of said herinafter mentioned -------for 
the joint and equal use of my five daughters herinafter named but in 
case by son John should not be willing to accept my said plantation 
on the terms aforesaid and signify his unwillingness to my Executors 
within one month after my 
said wife's decease in writing under his hand, then and in that case 
I order that my Executors shall sell and dispose of my said 
plantation either by public or private sale for the best price  that  
can be gotten for the same and monies together with  the money 
deriving from the sale of my personal estate to be equally divided 
among all my children, that is to and between my son John and my 
daughters Ann, Elizabeth, Susan, Magdalena and Mary share and share 
alike and I do hereby constitute and appoint Philip Galle
the sole executor of this my last will and testament.  In witness 
whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 6th day of March, 
1812.

Signed, sealed and delivered by the Testator to be his last will and 
testament in the presence of us

  (Seal) The 13th day of April Anno Domini 1812 before me the 
subscriber Register for the probate of wills and granting Letters of 
Administration in and for said County personally came Jacob Newmier 
and the other signing witness whose name is written in German and on 
their solemn affirmations did declare that they saw the Testator when 
of right mind sign the same as and for his last will and Testament, 
that there had not been any undue influence used or later will made 
by the Testator to their knowledge or belief - given under my hand 
and seal of the Registers Office the same day
