 Sybil Louise Griffin Passmore, 83, of Hahira died August 20, 2005 at South 
Georgia Medical Center.

 Born May 27, 1922 in Nashville to the late Edgar L. and Annie Bulloch Griffin, 
she worked for Dadant and Company Bee Supplies for 42 years and managed the 
branch office in Hahira. She was a member of the Georgia Beekeepers 
Association, where she served as treasurer for many years, the American 
Federation of Beekeepers, and the Hahira Honeybee Festival Committee. She was 
named Georgia State Beekeeper of the Year in 1979. She was a member of Hahira 
United Methodist Church where she served as organist and choir director for 
over 30 years. She was married to the late Robert Alexander Passmore of Hahira.

 Survivors include one son, Robert LaRon Passmore of Oklahoma City, OK; two 
daughters, Ellice Martin of Homerville and Peggy Wilkes of Valdosta; stepson, 
Jerry Passmore of Lake Park; seven grandchildren, five step grandchildren, six 
great-grandchildren, nine step-great-grandchildren.

 Funeral services were held August 23 at 4 p.m. at Hahira United Methodist 
Church with the Revs. Ken Morgan, Lynn Hurley and John McGowan officiating.

 Interment was in Friendship Cemetery.

 Martin/McLane Funeral Home of Hahira was in charge of arrangements.
