Farmer Assassinated

Valdosta, Ga., Oct. 15  Youman Padgett, a farmer of Cat Creek district, was
shot and instantly killed by an unknown assassin while at the home of a
neighbor. Padgett was about to retire and walked to the door when the fatal shot
was fired and he fell dead.
