     James E. Miley, Jr., 65, of Hahira, died Sunday, August 24, 2008 at South 
Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta. He was born on September 5, 1942 in Tifton, 
GA to the late James Elmer Miley, Sr. and Ethel Kinard Miley. He was a 
wonderful father, hero, friend and teacher to his son Timothy. Mr. Miley was a 
LARC, Inc. stakeholder and a member of the Hahira United Methodist Church. He 
was a proud Vietnam War veteran and a member of the American Legion. Mr. Miley 
was a south Georgia Hahira farmer.
 He is survived by his wife, Patricia Ann McGill Miley, one son, Timothy James 
Miley, one sister, Joyce Miley Sewell, two sisters in law, Linda B. Miley and 
Patricia H. Miley, all of Hahira, three brothers in law and sisters in law, 
Doris and A. C. Stone of Valdosta, James and Ann McGill of Adel and Steve and 
Carol McGill of Green Cove Springs, FL, several nieces and nephews. Mr. Miley 
is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Tommy Allen Miley and 
Billy Ray Miley.
 Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 26, 2008 at two p. m. at the 
Hahira United Methodist Church with Reverend Jimmie Cone and Reverend Ken 
Morgan officiating. He will lie in state for one hour prior to the service. 
Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens. Flowers will be accepted or 
contributions may be made to LARC, Inc., 1646 East Park Avenue, Valdosta, GA 
31602. The family will receive friends from six until eight p. m. Monday at the 
Martin McLane Funeral Home in Hahira. Condolences to the family may be
