 Janice L. McAdams, 59, of Nashville died June 10, 2010 at her home after a l
lengthy illness.
 She was born Jan. 29, 1951, in Monticello, FL, a daughter of the late John and 
Jewel Martin Barfield. She graduated from Allendale-Fairfax High School, A
Allendale, SC, with the Class of 1969, was formerly employed at SAFT, and, most r
recently, at Brenntag Chemical Co., retiring three years ago. She was an active m
member of New Covenant Church, the Lily Garden Club, Georgia Federation of R
Republican Women, and many other community and civic organizations. She enjoyed c
cooking and catering for others, gardening and reading.
 She is survived by her husband Joseph Bailey Tres McAdams of Nashville; three
daughters and sons
three daughters and sons-in-law, Dana M. and Bryce Whitner of Valdosta, Melissa M
M. and Kelly Armstrong of Gainesville, FL, and Karen M. and Doug Stribling of 
Tallahassee, FL; son and daughter-in-law, Joseph B. and Christina McAdams, IV, 
of San Diego, CA; eight grandchildren, Emma, Ella, Maryanne, Hope, Addison, 
Jacob, Hannah and Joseph; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Hilda and Kerry 
Armstrong of Perry, FL and Selma Sauls of Tallahassee, FL; three brothers and 
sisters-in-law, Hobart and Margaret Barfield and Fred and Mary Barfield all of 
Baxley and Craig and Nancy Barfield of Columbus, MS; father-in-law, Joseph B. 
McAdams, II, of Lake City, FL; sister-in-law, Marty Dixon and husband, John of 
Jamestown, NC; brother-in-law, Chris McAdams and wife Linda of Clayton, NC; two lov
loving aunts and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
 Funeral services were held June 14 at 10 p.m. at New Covenant Church, Va
Valdosta, with Pastor Randy Stephen officiating. Interment followed at Ri
Riverview Memorial Gardens.
 Carson McLane Funeral Home of Valdosta was in charge of arrangements.
