 William Randal Bill Jones, Jr., 85, of Valdosta died April 28, 2011, at the So
South Georgia Medical Center.
 He was born in Warsaw, NC, on April 16, 1926, to the late William Randal, Sr., a
and Mattie Lee Gary Jones. He was a veteran of the United States Navy having s
served during WWII and was retired from Georgia Power. He was a member of the E
Elks Club, the VFW, American Legion, Toastmasters Club, and the Dale Carnegie A
Association. He was also a member of Nashville First Baptist Church.
 Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Cynthia and Edward Smith of Howey-in
in-Hills, FL, Cheryl Lee Jones of Palm Beach, FL, Michelle Renee Jones Barfield 
and Darin Barfield of Hahira, Chere Renee Jones Day and Michael  Day of 
Covington and Marcia and Mike Myers of Woodstock; a son and daughter-in-law, 
Wesley David and Amy Jones of Covington; grandchildren, Edward E. (Trey) Smith, 
Kelly Lee Ann Smith, David Michael Welch, Taylor Vivi Barfield, Mary Morgan 
Barfield, Brittany Ann Townsend, Megan Elaine Townsend, Mattie Renee Townsend, 
William Bradley Day, Brooke Arwood Jones, Jordyn Alyssa Jones, Isabella Grace 
Jones, Michael Joshua Myers, James Jacob Myers, Ava McKenzie Myers, and Addison 
McKayla Myers, a great-granddaughter, Ella Lyn Smith; two brothers, Jack G. J
Jones and Robert H. Jones; a sister, Ann Carol Daniel; numerous nieces and n
nephews and great friends.
 Funeral services were held May 1 at 3:30 p.m. in the chapel of Carson McLane 
Funeral Home with Rev. Charlie Scarbrough officiating.
 Interment was in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
 Carson McLane Funeral Home of Valdosta was in charge of arrangements.
